Privacy policy

We collect the minimum needed to run the platform, and we never sell data.

Data processed

  • Account: e-mail, first name, canton, language.
  • Identity check: the photos of your ID and your selfie (biometric data) are processed by Stripe, with the consent you give on its verification page. We receive neither the photos nor any biometric data: only the result (verified or not) and an encrypted, irreversible fingerprint of the document, to prevent duplicate accounts.
  • Listings and messages: published content, photos (location data in photos is removed on upload), messages exchanged.
  • Sales: amounts, status, tracking number. Card details are processed only by Stripe.
  • Technical: IP address and server logs, kept 30 days for security.

Recipients

Infomaniak (hosting, Switzerland) and Stripe (payment and identity verification of members). Your first name, canton and ratings are publicly visible on your profile.

Retention

For as long as the account exists. After the account is deleted, sales data is kept anonymised for 10 years for accounting obligations. To enforce the “one account per person” rule, an encrypted, irreversible fingerprint of the e-mail address and bank account is kept indefinitely; it cannot be used to recover that data.

Your rights

Access, correction, deletion and data portability: write to info@bisemarket.ch. You can delete your account at any time from “My account”.

Only a session cookie needed to log in. No advertising cookies.
