Used Kiteboards

Kiteboards age well: a twintip a few seasons old rides almost like new. As long as the structure and inserts are sound, it is the safest second-hand buy.

Which board?

A 135 to 140 cm twintip suits most riders; longer and wider for light wind and heavier riders. A compact kitefoil board needs a bit more experience but opens up the light-wind days that are common in Switzerland.

Check before you buy

  • Binding and fin inserts: screws bite, no insert spins.
  • Rails: knocks and chips, especially under the feet.
  • Delamination: no bubbles, no hollow-sounding areas.
  • Straps, pads or footpads: often included and worth counting.

Frequently asked questions

Are the footpads included?

Not always: check the listing or ask the seller before buying.

Can a kitefoil board be used for winging?

Sometimes, if it has enough volume and a compatible box. A dedicated wing board is still more comfortable for lifting off.
